Ears or Bananas

I met a young man named Saman today. He was from Iraq and had left his family back home, to maybe go to Germany. He said ‘here is life, back there is no life.’  He was so grateful to be away from Iraq and Turkey and he called us ‘angels’. He was the only person I really got a good chance to talk to. He was so happy to be here and just wanted to talk.  My hope is that every step along his way, and all of their ways, is that they find more believers like in our camp. That other camp workers are not just there to help pass out a banana or help them on a bus, but actually want to listen and talk to them and be the light that we’re told to be.
